Iris, Iris again. This is another attempt at the same iris in the photo of a couple of days ago, completely ignoring the background because it was distracting me from trying to get this very complicated flower right. I thought it needed something else, so I tried to put some spotty purple flowers in the background and it just didn't work, so I painted the daisies over them. The painting looked top-heavy, so I thought the bottom right corner needed something. I was trying to do poppies, but didn't quite succeed. Maybe I will stick to one complicated type of flower per painting.
