When we went snorkeling in the Caribbean, I fell in love with these little fish that kept circling us. It is called a Bluehead Wrasse, and they were very friendly and curious about us.
I am not happy with this painting. I was looking at this photo, which is so much prettier than what I came up with.
I had recently gone searching for videos on technique, as I hoped to be able to show variations in depth and light. I watched one video and thought I had learned a few things, but I think this looks much too flat. I also really love the lush colors on the coral nearby in the photo, and I just was not able to capture them. More education is needed.
Art teachers… Advice?
A valiant effort! The fish is very sweet.
